Redhawks Headed for 14th Consecutive OVC Baseball Tournament Despite Extra-inning Loss

The 2008 Southeast Missouri State Redhawks baseball team will make its 14th consecutive trip to the Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Tournament next week, though not with the kind of momentum they would have hoped for. Southeast dropped its regular season finale to Morehead State in a 10-inning, three-hour and 38 minute slugfest at Allen Field.

Redhawks Remain In Position to Earn Tournament Berth with Doubleheader Split

The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks baseball team is just one win away from earning an Ohio Valley Conference record 14th consecutive OVC Tournament berth after a doubleheader split at Morehead State today. Southeast dropped the first game 10-8, falling just short in a late-inning comeback attempt. In game two, the Redhawks fended off a late Eagles comeback to claim a 9-6 seven-inning victory.
 

Dustin Renfrow and the Redhawks are looking to earn a spot in next weeks Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.

Southeast Baseball Doubleheader at Morehead Pushed Back Two Hours

Friday's scheduled baseball doubleheader between Southeast Missouri State and Morehead State has been pushed back two hours due to field conditions. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m. central time. Game two will begin approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the first contest.
